How to Assign and A ach Documents

You can assign and a ach documents to equipment and functional locations. In this sec on, we will learn how to assign and a ach documents to an equipment.

To Add a Document

1.    
Login to the tenant and navigate to the Master Data section on the Fiori launchpad.

2.    
Click on the Equipment le to access and manage existing equipment.

3.    
Click on an Equipment to open it in detail view to assign the document(s).

4.    
Switch to the Attachments tab on the Details View window.

5.    
In the Attachments tab, click the Add dropdown to select the Add Document op on. This allows you to add documents from an external source.

6.    
On the Add Document pop-up window, fill in the required details. For more details see, Add Document – Field Descrip on.

7.    
Click Save in the bottom right corner.

Select a File

Click to upload a new file or document from the system.

Category

Select a category for the document you are adding to the equipment. It helps in be er organization and grouping the files.

Phase

Select a phase from the dropdown for which the uploaded document can be referred.

Confidentiality

Mark the document as confidential to prevent unauthorized users from accessing it and making unnecessary changes.

Language

Set the language of the document in which it would be available.

Click the Add button to select the Add Link op on from the dropdown. This allows you to add links from an external source.

Click Save in the bottom right corner.

Provide a display name for the link.

Link

Add the URL/Link for the file to be added.

Category

Select a category for the link you are adding to the equipment. It helps in be er organization and grouping the files.

Phase

Select a phase from the dropdown for which the uploaded document can be referred.

Language

Set the language of the document in which it would be available.

To Assign a Document

By assigning documents, you can add existing documents within the environment/tenant.

1.    
In the Attachments tab, click the Assign button.

2.    
On the Assign Attachments pop-up window, select the checkbox for the file you wish to assign to the equipment.

 You can assign more than one a attachment.

3.    
Click Assign in the bottom right corner.

Manage Attachments

Edit, delete, or update the list of documents assigned to an object.

Select the checkbox to an attachment you wish to Delete, Download, or Export.

5.   
Click the Delete button to remove an attachment assigned to the document.

6.   
Click the Download icon to download the document and save it in your local folder.

7.   
Click the Export icon to generate an Excel export of the document for external sharing.
